In April 2021\, members wil l vote for the IACRL Vice-President/President-elect and Secretary. \; Vice-President/President-elect is three-year terms beginning July 2021 and ending June 2024. Secretary is a one-year position beginning July 2021 an d ending June 2022.\nThe nomination process begins with an open call for n ominations for these positions. All IACRL members are invited to nominate a colleague or self-nominate. \;Submission of a nominee suggestion for m does not guarantee the nominee will appear on the slate\; the Nominating Committee will review all nominations and may also seek additional indivi duals to meet identified needs\, in order to develop the strongest possibl e slate. According to \;IACRL bylaws \; \;and \;ILA bylaws \, nominees selected to appear on the slate "must be members of ILA at the time of nomination\;" that is\, by the time the slate is finalized.\nThe Nominating Committee is seeking candidates who have strategic skill sets t o govern a professional\, nonprofit association. Duties and expectations o f Executive Board members can be found in \;the IACRL Bylaws. For the 2021 election\, skills especially needed include: \;a big picture focu s/global outlook\; the ability to act as a change agent\; a commitment to actively participate and serve for three years\; and the ability to implem ent ILA’\;s strategic plan.\nThe submission deadline is 5:00 p.m. on Friday\, February 12\, 2021. \;To submit a nomination\, complete the n omination form online.
